FOR YOUR INFORMATION

I want to say thank you all for your prayers. Also thanks for the card........  Mary rhodes

My dear friends and family:    I have a huge prayer request---we're talking miracle....Brendan's brother Tims; son Armand is 18 months old and after many tests we have just heard that the diagnosis is ganglioidoses---which is a very rare nerve disease.  The prognosis is terminal...Armand will progressively have seizures, blindness, loss of control of  bladder(etc. which is already happening) complete loss of hearing. He has always had a difficult time trying to walk and talk  and this will only get worse.  Eventually he'll need constant care--until... When I heard all of this about this most beautiful angel--it just took my breath away and now I just seem to always hurt in my heart and my stomach....and I just can't stop praying and offering everyday trials up.  But I just felt that it wouldn't hurt to ask to share with praying for this little guy.....I thank you so very much......... Jennie Dranschak

HAPPY MARCH BIRTHDAY TO:

DOTTIE DORNBUSCH  MARCH 25
FROM THE PREZ...............

Dear Guild members,

It was discussed at our February meeting that it would be nice to arrange some field trips of interest this year. These are always fun and gives us a chance to spend time with others in the guild who we don’t normally sit with at the meetings.
After several suggestions were submitted we have four choices to look at.

1. Attend “Ohio Guild Day” at Royalwood Ltd. on September 17th
(tentative). This is located at 517 Woodville Rd, Mansfield, Ohio. Guild members will receive a discount and have the opportunity to stock up on needed supplies.

2. Sauder Village
at 22611 State Route 2, Archbold, Oh. Right now I have been in contact with a representative there and since they are closed for the winter they are getting in touch with their resident basket weaver to see what type of classes she would have to offer. Once we hear back and they open in April we can look at scheduling at time to visit.

3. WILLOWE'S BASKETRY & YARN HAUS, 226 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN.  is another option recommended.  (This is about 30 min. E. of Indianapolis)
Class/shopping day at Willowe's for 6+ weavers. Attendees receive a 10% discount on purchases.  For classes we potentially have the following to chose from.
1. Denim Blues $28.00
2. Cathead Blanket $45.00
3. Shaker Cathead $26.00
4. Half a Bushel $44.00
5. Laced Country Market $32.00
6. Small Wastebasket $34.00
7. Large Randing $33.00
8. Blanket Basket $38.00
9. 1-2-3 Twill $34.00
10. Toy Basket $48.00
11. Plaid Wastebasket $32.00
I am still trying to get in touch with a representative to get more information.

4. Our last option is a day at Longaberger in Dresden, Ohio.
They open in April and if we plan to bring a group of 15 or more to the Longaberger Homestead we have to contact Guest Relations at 740-322-5588 reserve our tour in advance. There is no cost to take the tour. They offer plenty of shopping, several places to grab a bite to eat and the opportunity make your own basket.

Be thinking of what trips you would be interested in and let me know prior to our March meeting. Then, hopefully we can finalize plans for visits and get dates decided on.
