A market basket, with stunning colors of black, smoked and natural.  It measures 14” long x 11” wide x 13” high with the tall handle.  Remember how many times this one was passed around at Christmas?  Yep, that’s the same one we have an opportunity to weave in March.  Carol will provide you a kit,
complete with a sanded and stained handle for $28! There’s a lot of work in preparing kits for this project.  So please let Carol know ASAP if you want a kit.  Send her an email at carolwhite43@woh.rr.com or give her a call.

If you prefer to use your own supplies, here is what you need to bring:

1/2” flat black reed
1/2” flat natural reed
1/4” flat oval black reed
1/4” flat oval smoked reed
3/8” flat natural for rim row
#3   natural round reed for twining around the base (about 72”)
1/4” flat oval natural for lashing
5/8” flat oval natural for inside and outside rim
Seagrass for rim filler
1/2” flat black reed;     cut 3 at 32” and 7 at 26” for spokes
1/2” flat natural reed;  cut 4 at 32” and 6 at 26”

You need the handle, too, of course.  Don’t forget to contact Carol to purchase one of the handles from her for $7.00.  The pattern will cost $1.00.
