MINUTES FROM  MAY 2, 2011 MEETING

Julie Kleinrath will be moving soon.  She is having a sale May 6 & 7.  If anyone is interested in selling items at the Cranberry Cupboard (off St Rt 725) cost is $80/mth.  She is leaving her booth.

Willowe’s trip is May 14.  Those attending will have lots to report at the June meeting. 

Weave in the Park is May 21st.  Please pay Cookie ASAP.  Checks need to be made out to Karen Griffith.  September 10th is the next Weave in the Park featuring Vinnie Hinson.

Sharonville Creative Arts Festival is Thurs-Sat June 23-35 at the Sharonville Convention Center.

Mid-Summer Weave is July 22-23.  Registration is due May 23 to reserve your place in a wide variety of classes.  Please send to Cindy Holland.  She can be reached at wahoorule@sbcglobal.com.  If you have items to donate for the raffle please contact Linda Seever, chair  lseever1@woh.rr.com .

WEAVE-IN-THE PARK  SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2011.

The teacher was Karen Griffith from Northeastern Indiana.  She provided four baskets choices and we selected the one we wanted to weave.  The baskets were;  Two Pie/Casserole Carrier,\: $36.00,  Floor Planter: $40.00,  ILLY:  $50.00, and Chairside Magazine: $70.00.  The weather was beautiful and so were the baskets.




















Our Fall Weave in the Park will be held on Saturday, September 10 , 2011.  Location will be the Red Fox Run Shelter (same location as our past two Weaves in the Park).  Venie Henson will be our teacher.  She has offered 4 projects: 
BEJEWELED; SUMMERTIME; ALL THAT JAZZ; and STACKED RIM BASKET. Please mark your calendars for the date.  I will send out sign-up and payment information later.  Hope to see everyone there!  Cookie Jenkins

WAYNESVILLE, OHIO     SECOND SATURDAY EVENT FOR JUNE, JULY, AUGUST & SEPTEMBER 2011
The Waynesville Merchants Association is seeking artists, authors, crafters and entertainers to participate in Waynesville's Second Saturday Street Faire which will be held on June 11, July 9, Aug 13, & Sept 10 from 10am-5pm. 

There will be several community events being held as part of the Street Faire each month including a cruise-in, entertainment, prizes, antique silent auctions and more. 

The event committee is seeking artists and crafters who work with a variety of art mediums, area authors, and also entertainers to perform at several locations throughout the historic business district.  All artists and crafters are invited to submit images of their original artwork to info@secondsaturdaystroll.com to be juried. More information about the event and applications are available at the website
www.secondsaturdaystreetfaire.com.   Reserve your space soon as booth space is filling quickly for these events.

Ladies I was offered some raffle items but still need more.  It can be unused patterns, kits, handles, supplies, etc.  Please let me know by email or home phone 322-6127.  We really appreciate your help  in this matter.  Also, it does not have to be basket related.  Thank you.  I will be at the next meeting to receive any and all items.

The Heritage Basketry Guild meets the first Monday of every month unless otherwise stated.  We meet at the Community United Methodist Church 339 Meyer Ave. Riverside, Ohio.  Meeting begins at 6:30pm with a brief business meeting at 7:00pm.  Visitors welcome, members expected.
