                  Buckeye Basket

Team Taught by Cheri Mullins and Linda Seever    July 2010
Cost:  $25

Take a look at this basket!  This round reed basket  features three glass
Ohio Buckeye beads hand-crafted by our very own Cheri Mullins.
Three beads are included in your kit!

You don’t have to remember
that the official State Tree of Ohio is the Ohio Buckeye, but you do
have to remember to come make this stunning basket in July!

Three rod wale and shaping will be taught as part of this basket.
An added bonus:  You will have the opportunity to dip your basket
into walnut stain prepared by Cheri and Linda.
If you don’t finish in July, bring the basket back in August
and they’ll have the stain then, too!

And a note:  If you’re simply CRAZY about these unique Ohio Buckeye beads, you can buy additional beads.
Three beads for $10.00!
Base Only is $2.00
Pattern Only is $1.00

Note from Linda;
" THE BASKET YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE IS MADE ALL NATURAL THEN DIPPED IN A DYE.  SOME DID NOT LIKE THE COLOR.  I AM WORKING ON A DARKER BROWN.  ALSO, FOR THE KIT AND FOR EXTRA'S THE COST IS 3 BEADS FOR $10.00, WHICH IS A GOOD PRICE AND ONLY FOR CLASS TIME.  AFTER CLASS NIGHT THE BEADS WILL COST $15.00 FOR THREE.  THEY ARE HAND MADE GLASS BEADS BY CHERI."
FOR YOUR INFORMATION
From Linda Seever; MID SUMMER WEAVE:  IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO DONATE ITEMS FOR THE RAFFLE, YOU NEED TO BRING THEM TO THE JULY 12TH MEETING SO WE HAVE TIME TO GET THEM READY.

From Sue O'Neal;
MY SWEET FATHER PASSED AWAY ON JUNE 11TH AT THE AGE OF 90, JUST 31 DAYS AFTER MY HUSBAND.  MY DAD WAS THE BEST OF THE BEST, AND I WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE HIM. (Please keep Sue in your thoughts and prayers....Carol)

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."
~Erma Bombeck
